Put your detective skills in the event in Famicon Detective Club

Visual novels are a simple genre, but they only started recently to set up in the west in recent decades, with franchises like the Zero Escape or Ace Attorney Series in popularity. As a result, it is not uncommon for the West to go completely next to some versions. Of course, Nintendo Direct today did not announce the long rumor of Great Ace Attorney Collection, but we had our first overview of another visual novel franchise that came to us, and there are a lot of reasons to be excited if you want juicy mysteries solve.

Famicon Detective Club: The Missing Heir will see you try to solve a complex murder case in a haunted village, with the extra complication of suffering from amnesia. The second game, Famicon Detective Club: The girl who stands behind you sees you investigating the supernatural rumors surrounding the death of three students.

The two games are originally released in 1989 and 1989, and the remakes are an excellent showcase of the road traveled by visual novels; We do not only get fixed images this time, but we can see subtle movements, fluid animations of characters and even small details like the wind drilling the clothes of a character.

Of course, these games will not impress you on the graphic plan in the same way as something like The Last of Us: Part 2, but you have to admire this artistic style.

The remakes were initially announced last year, but today’s announcement means that players outside Japan will be able to discover the games for the first time. We do not know yet if the third game of the series, Lost Memories in the Snow, will also receive a remake, and if this remake will get a location in English, but the good news is that if you want to discover the franchise, you just need to wait on May 14th.
